I switched servers (host) because I wanted to have my own IP address and a larger bandwidth (faster loading time.) I want the best experience for my users. That being said, at the end of the day I don’t want them getting upset for looking for information and jumping off the cliff (bouncing off the site) because of the speed of loading the page. I am sure we all don’t want that for our users and following to the site. I couldn’t have found a better host that offered so much, let alone all the tips and tricks to help your site.
The reasons I picked Bluehost?
A friend of mine told me about Bluehost and said their support system is the live chat and a phone call. Where you can talk to the support team, which is what I want, a live person to help me. When it comes to talking to people, on phone id easier for me then by live chat, to be honest! I am the worst speller in the world unless you are counting people that don’t speak English, but I digress… So speaking to someone on the phone and getting to the point is much quicker. not to mention I joke around with the support team and they joke with me, which is a plus when you are flustered with an issue on your site. They know how to make you calm down (not saying they will be able to do it for you, for me it works)
How is the support team?
They are very well educated people in my book. They have an answer for any issue I have ever had, plus I joke around with some of them. I’ve even talked to them about Tv shows, discussing what’s going to happen on the next episode, which should give you a good idea they are down to earth people.
The bottom of the line is, are they going to give you the information you seek?
The answer is yes! If they don’t know the answer they will ask around until it is solved. They run 24/7, which is great because we have issues at all times of the day. Maybe this is you, you deleted a whole section “WP-content” from your site from FTP that then crashes your site at 2 am, of course, you won’t be able to go to sleep until it is fixed! That is a big upside that you can call them to bring back your site and content.
Which plan did I pick?
I went with Business Pro. I like to save money and I think of the long run and I decided to go with the pro because it will be $14.95 monthly if I signed up for 3 years. $16.95 for 2 years and if I went for the 1 year it would be $19.99. (These are promotional prices, nonpromotional prices are listed below.) I know it’s not easy to just drop that kind of money $500+ for 3 years, but I know I’ll be here for the long run. I enjoy writing and helping people, so that was a no-brainer for me to pick the 3-year plan.
I wanted my website Backup daily, since I post almost daily and losing that information is time consuming as you know especially me putting my images in a gallery if I have 30+ photos (not that bad anymore, but used to be)
With pro, they give you SSL, which is Encrypt the connection between your server and visitors to safeguard personal information. I don’t know about you, but I would never want to be responsible for people losing their personal information.
What’s the differences between the plans for Bluehost
With the High performance, it is 5 times faster with than the Plus. It draws from the processor much faster and doubles the bandwidth. With having your own IP address, it makes it slightly faster.
Bluehost said me, they will fix the problem with the lack of information one what they offer.
I will say this… this part is annoying about Bluehost they give you a coupon for your SSL and Spam expert plan, which you get from your Business pro. You have to click the to approve from the control panel what account you want to not have that harmful or unwanted information.

SSL- For a little more information for here is an example; your have a page that gets your subscribers and your followers (users) sign up but went elsewhere. With SSL, this will never happen and having your own IP address it is required to have SSL.

Bluehost offers so much more than they tell you!
They can help you with your Optimized of your website to see if it is running slow in certain areas, and tell you where to fix the code or you can pay them to do it for you.
Help you with PPC campaigns– They will help you read what post or pages are doing well from the scale of 1 to 10 ( what google already does…) in other words they just read the information that google already provides
The Support tech explained (they will change the name) but they help with a “link building up program.” This is an aggressive approach they offer, which having more information shared of your pages or posts, will build your rankings. I personally wouldn’t do it, because I don’t want to spend the money and I like taking my time and building a following, is much better than aggressive approach to me. Do what’s right for you and your site, this is an option. This option will be in the control panel.

As I was talking to a support tech, I had a long conversation with Ken. He told me he has switched to so many hosts over the years, (I forgot the number… I know it was heaps!) and after finding Bluehost he hasn’t found anything better and he is glad for all they offer. Overall, I have been very happy with my choice to switch to Bluehost. Yes, there was some times of frustration with switching (me screaming at my computer,) but in the end, its worth it. They have a lot to offer as well as a very helpful and patient tech support team to call. If you do not want to worry about losing content, they are always backingup your site. Yes, the prices can be a little high and overwhelming, but they do have many different options for pricing for your situation. You can start up slow and see how you like it and of course always upgrade, whatever fits you.
