But that being said, the reason being is the ingredients. Mainly the spices, lamb and pickles that make is turkish besides the hot dog bun, it would be really Yufka or lavash. Which I should mention, I have very crazy recipe for that. It does require the starter to take 10 days to make, but let me tell you the Turkish make really cool pickles!!!
Mainly what made me really want to make this was I went to World Spice and went crazy on spices. Spices that I can’t usually find in the stores ask Erin she told me to calm down. If you are interested you can google World Spice online and look through their online store they have some awesome stuff that’s always fresh.

Question for you
Are you a sauce person? Would you put some sort of sauce with this recipe?
Awesome crowd pleaser, kids love it and if you looking for something cheap to put together, just change the ground lamb to ground beef, hit up Costco.
I know Mahlab won’t be that easy to find. You can easily substitute with star anise, anise seeds, fennel seeds, fennel pollen or cardamon. Also you could use fresh cherries, or frozen sour cherries.
If you are really trying to get that Turkish feel for it, change the bread to yufka I love this flat bread!!! I really would love to say lavash, but that’s way too long to wait for to be made.
